Persib Football Club without being bias, is by far the greatest Indonesian club ever. It has won more trophies than any other club since the league was founded in 1930. They were the dominant team in the early years of Indonesian football, however during the 60's and 70's relegated to division 2. Its revival came under the guidance of the late Yayat Ruchiyat, undoubtly the person most responsible for turning Persib fortune around and lifted them back into Division I. Altough they lost twice to PSMS Medan in the final of 83 & 84, most football pundits recognise Persib as the team of the eighties. geocities.com |
